Towne Lake Monument in Woodstock, GeorgiaTowne Lake is a community that is a portion of the city of Woodstock, Georgia and unincorporated southern Cherokee County. It begins about two miles west of downtown Woodstock and extends northwest through what was formerly known as the Thousand-Acre Woods.

There is not a lake known as “Towne Lake.” The name instead comes from the areas proximity to the town of Woodstock and to Lake Allatoona.

Towne Lake is home to Hobgood Park, the largest recreational park in Cherokee County.

Towne Lake is well-known for its golf courses as well. Eagle Watch Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. Towne Lake Hills Golf Club has an 18-hole, par 72 course built in 1994 by Arthur Hills.
