Pop out that sombrero and enjoy the area’s only Dos de Mayo Party. It’s South of the Border in South Cherokee! Come to Downtown Woodstock on Friday, May 2 between 6pm and 9pm and enjoy a special Dos de Mayo celebration! A mariachi band will be performing during the event as they stroll around Downtown Woodstock.
$100 Downtown Gift Certificate Giveaway
Every $10 you spend at a downtown business during Friday Night Live qualifies you for entry into a drawing for a $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate. Just bring your receipt for any purchase made at a Downtown business during the event to the Woodstock Visitors Center to enter the contest. For example, if you spend $50, you will qualify for five entries into the drawing.
Find the Sombrero
Seven Arrows is sponsoring a “find the sombrero game.” There will be 24 sombreros around town, but only one will have a Seven Arrows sticker in it. The 1st person to find it and bring it to Seven Arrows will win a dream catcher.
Other Celebration Features
Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza & Grill will feature a performance by Planet Zu . They will be playing funk/rock out on the patio from 7 to 10 PM.
Copper Coin Coffee will feature a performance by Chris Weinholtz from 8pm to 10pm.
Cupcakelicious will have a Churro Cupcake in honor of Dos de Mayo. It’s a cinnamon sugar cupcake with caramel frosting, dusted with cinnamon sugar and topped with a piece of churro. Cupcakelicious will also feature live music in front of the store.
Artist Kristina Laurendi Havens will have her Woodstock Vignettes painting series on display at Dean’s Store. The series features 36 unique scenes of Downtown Woodstock. The paintings will be auctioned off in a public event this September to benefit the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village.
Maxwell’s Cigar Bar will have Tony Mele serenading the crowds outdoors starting at 6pm. Also anyway 21 or older who enters Maxwell’s with a mustache, real or fake, that rivals Harvey’s or Butch’s will get a free 16oz PBR.
Be You On Purpose Boutique will have 30% off all their leather cowgirl boots. Other sales as well.
Fashion Cupcake will be offering a 10% off any one item when you say “Cinco” at checkout! This is only for those that know the secret word! *Does not apply to polso Bella cuffs. Fashion Cupcake will also have a local artist who will be making handmade leather cuffs on site for Friday Night Live.
GROW Woodstock will be selling t-shirts near the Woodstock Visitors Center. Proceeds go toward downtown beautification projects.
The Wright Stuff will have a bean bag toss game, free chips, salsa and quesadillas, 10% to 50% off everything in the store.
Foxtale Book Shoppe will feature an emerging author event at the store during Friday Night Live.
Barrel and Barrel Craft Beer Market will be having a tap-takeover and glassware giveaway with Red Hare Brewing Company. Tentative tap list includes: Long Day Lager, Watership Brown, Rabbits Reserve: Rauchbier and A BARREL AND BARLEY EXCLUSIVE: Gangway IPA “cask” aged on Toasted Coconut and Pineapple!
Brooklynn’s is offering you a chance to decorate your own plastic tumbler! These high quality tumblers will make a great Mother’s Day Gift, or a gift for yourself! Brooklynn’s is asking for a small donation for each tumbler that will be donated to Homeward Bound Pet Rescue. Brooklyn’s will also be giving away free festive glow necklaces.
