We’ve written before how to drive in poor weather conditions, but, being as far south as we are, Georgia isn’t famous for getting heaping piles of snow. Instead, we get rain, rain, and more rain. However, driving in the rain can be very dangerous and our team at Mountain Lakes Insurance feels that it’s very important to suggest some tips to our clients to help keep them as safe as possible while out driving in the rain.
- First and foremost: Slow down! It takes longer to stop or adjust in wet weather. Try to avoid using your brakes, and if possible, take your foot off the accelerator to slow down.
- Turn your headlights on during light rain or gloomy, foggy or even overcast conditions. Not only do they help you see the road, but they help other drivers see you. In fact, the state of Georgia
