It was a great day when the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce stopped by on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 for Mountain Lake Insurance’s official ribbon cutting grand opening in our new location in downtown Woodstock. Many other friends of MLI also came by for the festivities and helped to make it a grand occasion. Thank you to everyone for coming out and making it a special day in the history of Mountain Lakes Insurance.
Jeff Nevison, partner and managing director, led off the ceremonies by showing appreciation for everyone’s attendance, particularly thanking the officers of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce who were present :
Chamber President & CEO – Pam Carnes
Chamber Membership Manager – Nichole Parks
Chamber Chair Elect – Lewis Cline, Bank of North Georgia
Jeff introduced Erv Dykstra, MLI partner, as well as the rest of the Mountain Lakes staff: DeLila Glanzer, Reid Miegel, and Nace Simpson.
Mountain Lakes Insurance is an independent insurance agent in partnership with SIAA/AssureAlliance – a network of independent insurance agents. Jeff Swanson, MLI’s business partner with AssureAlliance was introduced at the ribbon cutting.
Other special guests were also introduced: BNI chapter members, insurance carrier representatives, and other business partners.
Jeff then gave a quick summary of the purpose of Mountain Lakes Insurance. MLI’s mission is to ultimately bring glory to God with integrity and a solid reputation. Yes, MLI wants to make a profit, but more importantly, to think about the lessons in The Richest Man Who Ever Lived, by Steven S Scott. To stay on the right track, and to be held accountable to our mission, requires following the advice of Proverbs 15:22 – Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Tom Lutz, director of CONVENE, was then introduced. CONVENE is a resource to Christian CEOS and business owners to connect, equip, and inspire them to become higher-impact leaders and honor God.
After a closing prayer, the MLI staff, Chamber officials, and honored guests stood in front of the Mountain Lakes sign for the official ribbon cutting and photo opportunities.
Thanks again to everyone who made this an historic and meaningful day for Mountain Lakes Insurance.
