The first Friday Night Live of 2014, Woodstock Mardi Gras on Main, will take place on March , 6 – 9pm. As is the tradition of this annual event in Downtown Woodstock, the City of Woodstock will be naming a King & Queen of the Woodstock Mardi Gras. At this time, the City of Woodstock is soliciting nominations for candidates for this honor. If you would like to nominate someone or yourself for this honor, please email kbennett@woodstockga.gov
A nominating committee will review all nominations received and select 3-5 candidates for King & Queen. The winners of this honor will be crowned at the event. Candidates that compete for this honor are required to dress up in a fun costume for the event, participate in a Woodstock Mardi Gras foot parade in Downtown Woodstock, and take part in the ceremony where the winner be will selected by applause from the general public.
